Getting started
How do I get an Idaho real estate license?
To get an Idaho real estate license, you’ll need to complete the required pre-licensing education, pass the state exam, and submit your license application.
  • Complete Idaho’s required pre-licensing education
  • Pass the Idaho real estate licensing exam
  • Finish the remaining application steps with the state
How do I get an Idaho real estate license?
Idaho requires three main steps:
  • Complete 90 hours of state-approved pre-licensing education (Module 1 + Module 2)
  • Pass the Idaho real estate licensing exam through PearsonVue
  • Submit your license application, background check, and fees (~$278 total) through the Idaho Real Estate Commission

Most self-paced students finish the education portion in 3–6 weeks. For a detailed walkthrough, see our Idaho Licensing Process Guide.

Can I take Idaho real estate classes online?
Yes. All 90 hours of Idaho pre-licensing education can be completed online through self-paced courses. You get 24/7 access and can study on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. An instructor-led live online option is also available when scheduled. Both formats are approved by the Idaho Real Estate Commission.
Choosing a package
When can I start?
Self-paced packages are available immediately — you can start the same day you enroll. There are no enrollment deadlines, set class times, or waitlists. A 7-day free trial is also available with no credit card required.
How do I choose the right package?
All four packages include the full 90 hours of required coursework. The differences are in exam prep and career tools:
  • Courses Only ($719) — The 90-hour coursework with 24/7 access. Best for self-motivated learners on a budget.
  • Standard ($819) — Adds unlimited practice exams and a readiness indicator so you know when you're prepared. Most popular choice.
  • Value ($895) — Adds 3 professional development courses to help you launch your career.
  • Premium ($1,019) — Includes the 19.5-hour post-licensing course you'll need for your first renewal, saving you money long-term.

All packages come with a 100% money-back guarantee (within 30 days, course less than 50% completed). Enroll through us and receive $175 in free bonus study tools.

How long do I have to finish the courses?
You have 6 months of course access from enrollment. Extensions are available if you need more time. Most students complete the 90 hours in 3–6 weeks studying at their own pace.
What if I'm already licensed in another state?
If you hold an active license in another state, Idaho will waive both the 90-hour pre-licensing education and the national exam portion. You'll only need to pass the Idaho state portion of the exam. See our Out-of-State Agents page for full details.
How do I choose the right package?
Most students compare packages based on budget, exam prep tools, and support.
