Your prelicensing course includes 6 months of access plus an automatic 1-month extension at no charge (7 months total) from the original purchase date. If you need more time after that, our course provider, The CE Shop, currently charges 20% of the then-current retail course price for each additional 30-day extension (or partial 30-day period). How are optional upgrades priced?
Your $575.20 grant applies to the approved $719 prelicensing course, leaving $143.80 as your required payment. Optional upgrades are priced separately because the grant does not cover exam prep or other added resources. Our $279 Standard option includes your required course payment plus Exam Prep Edge at approximately its regular $135 standalone price. Our regular retail bundles may have different bundle discounts. Upgrades are entirely optional.
Can I combine my state grant with a retail promo code or discount?
No. The state grant amount is based on the approved $719 prelicensing course price and cannot be applied to a separate promotional price or combined with retail discounts. Your required out-of-pocket tuition contribution remains $143.80. Optional upgrades are offered at the prices shown above.
How long do I have to complete the course? What if I need more time?
The course has a 6-month access period from the original purchase date, followed automatically by 1 complimentary month. After month 7, The CE Shop currently charges 20% of the then-current retail course price for each additional 30-day extension or partial 30-day period. Extensions and reactivations are not available beyond 12 months from the original purchase date. Do I need exam prep now?
Not every student adds it immediately, but many do. It is a strong option for students who want more structure, more practice, and more confidence as they prepare for the Idaho licensing exam.
When will I get access after payment?
After payment is completed, you should receive confirmation and next-step instructions. If anything looks delayed, contact support and we can help verify your enrollment.
Can I upgrade later?
In many cases, yes. But this page is the easiest time to add extra support as part of your enrollment, so you can start with the resources you want from day one.
